Student Review-A Wrinkle in Time

November10

wrinkle in time 3

A Wrinkle in Time was an outstanding play.  They definitely stuck to the book.  Also, I appreciated how they took a very serious book and made things funny.  The play is actually quite comical, serious, and positively horrifying.  I appreciated everything about the play, and how they showed real life situations.

My favorite part of the play was when the play is showing the scene from Camazotz when the children bounce the balls in the same rhythm at the same time  This was my favorite part because the actors were adults dressed as children, and I thought it was really funny.  Also, I found it really funny how the man with red eyes had glasses that were red circles.

In conclusion, all together I thought the play was miraculous.  I enjoyed it so much.  If I had to recommend it to anybody, I would recommend it to everyone.  It’s great for family, friends, strangers…Everyone should watch this play.  Finally, I would recommend reading the series by L’Enge, too.  It’s truly magnificent!

Falling for A Wrinkle in Time

Coming soon: a review of the play by one of my talented students.wrinkle in Time

Thanks to the generosity of Gear Up, Myrtle Point students had the opportunity to experience a world-class production of A Wrinkle in Time at the renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival in October. It was the perfect way for English 1 classes to conclude our reading of the classic young adult novel.

Summer

July18

We’re at the height of summer, only a week from the Coos County Fair.  Soon the office staff will return to the building, registration will be advertised, and daily doubles will test the strength of student athletes.

Time flies.

When students come back in the fall, I hope to welcome them with a carefully made-over classroom and meticulously organized learning targets.  I’m hoping the second year of proficiency will be easier on all.

Enjoy the remaining days of summer, students.  Read something fun.  Get out in the sunshine and enjoy the world around you.  We’ll be back in the classroom before you know it.
